Student Requirements for Admission
International students wishing to attend North Hills
Christian School need to provide the following information:
- A completed International Student Admission
Application (provided below)
- A paragraph or two telling why the student wishes
to attend North Hills Christian School
- A transcript of your grades from the most recent
academic year
- A recommendation from your church pastor or another
person of authority in your church
- A recommendation from a teacher who has recently
taught the student
- A check or money order for the $115.00 (USA
currency) registration fee
The total fee for international students is $7,250.00 per
year. This includes tuition, book fees, activity fees, costs of finding a
host family, and other related costs. It does not include the following:
money for telephone calls to the family or friends of the student, expense
money, lunch money, money for clothes, or money for personal items.
Students who have relatives that live in the Pittsburgh area may elect to
stay with them and not pay room and board to the school; their total fee is
$5,100. International students are not eligible for any tuition discounts
or financial aid.
According to immigration regulations, the student or his/her
family must provide documentary evidence of adequate financial support for
the duration of the student's stay in the United States. This is most
easily achieved by paying the fee before the beginning of the school year.
If the student has to withdraw for an approved reason, the fee will be
refunded on a pro-rated basis.
Students are expected to obey the rules of the student
handbook and the school's Code of Conduct. A copy of this document is
available to the parents upon request. A student who consistently violates
school rules or accumulates an unacceptable number of demerits may face
suspension or expulsion. The DSO of North Hills Christian School shall
monitor the student's status by completing a Monthly Evaluation Form.
Students must also provide proof of medical insurance for the
duration of their stay.
